Wiping the Windscreen. |
Sometimes you have to do the job yourself, instead of depending on mechanical contraptions, just to show your love.

Why George? |
When I first laid eyes on the then-blue Beetle, I noticed that the letters on his number plate were an intriguing combination.
JG
Though many people would pronounce those two letters as "Jag" or "Jog" or "Jug", I immediately saw the combination of letters as "Jorge". Jorge is a Spanish name and the correct pronounciation for it, I am led to believe, is "Hore-Hey".
But somehow, Jorge didn't seem right for this little Bug. Jorge sounded Latino... and this little car was far from anything Ricky Martin-related. So I decided to go the phonetical route, and simply call him, George.
And that is how I knew that the car's name was George. It was as if he had been trying to tell me all along.

Ho! Until I find a server than can permanently host my image files, this blog is temporarily parked to the side.
UPDATE: Problem temporarily solved.

Introduction |
Meet George. Yes. George the Air-cooled Volkswagen. That's his owner beside him. That would be me.
George is a 1968 model Volkswagen who has had his original 1300cc engine taken out and changed with a 1600cc one. I found him in Seremban in January 2003 outside a VW mechanic's house and bought him in April. (Just in time for my birthday). My mother loaned me the money to buy him and now *sniff* I pay her back by monthly installments. *sniff*
George was found in a faded Baby Blue colour. I quickly changed that to crystal white, the colour you see in the above image.
